There is no excuse whatsoever for robbing a perfectly innocent person of his mobile phone, but of all the people to mug, one of the last people you would hope to pick would be a friend of the ruling class.

Such was the bad luck and stupidity of this particular scumbag.

Though this unfortunate mugging seems to be less about the fact that the “family” will hung, draw and quarter you for messing with their pals, and more to do with the fact that Prince Harry takes no s***, and was apparently on the hunt for his friend in the wee hours of the morning after being engaged in conversation with Mr van Straubenzee when he got mugged for his Blackberry phone.

As a result of this high profile man hunt (less for the man being hunted and more for the hunter), Harry now appears to be one of the first high profile royals to actually walk into a police station like an everyday guy and report a crime, after he was unsuccessful in finding his mugged friend.

A police source is quoted saying:

Prince Harry came into the station to give a statement. It was a separate statement from the one given by his friend who was mugged.’

It appears that a man was arrested earlier in the month (1st Dec) and has been released on bail to attend a court hearing in the new year.

Battersea is seen as good target for wealthy residents:

With South London being gentrified in many areas over the last 15 or so years, the area is also home to some of London’s toughest and most deprived estates, this close relationship of haves and have not’s has lead to a series of high profile muggings in the last few years. Only this year in February, a former aide to the Queen Mother, Niall Hall, was kidnapped after having his car carjacked by a gang who then stripped him naked and ran knives along his body, and only last month Richard Ward, 37, died from head injuries after being attacked by a gang, in an apparently unprovoked incident, once again highlighting the lack of respect many young people have for human life in Britain’s inner cities.

Charlie Sheen Tweets Justin Bieber His Real Mobile Number On Twitter https://www.mobileinquirer.com/2011/charlie-sheen-tweets-justin-bieber-his-real-mobile-number-on-twitter/ https://www.mobileinquirer.com/2011/charlie-sheen-tweets-justin-bieber-his-real-mobile-number-on-twitter/#comments Mon, 12 Dec 2011 15:14:24 +0000 http://www.mobileinquirer.com/?p=1084 Socially “ridiculous” Charlie Sheen posts own number on Twitter to Justin Bieber:

Oh dear, who has been a silly boy. Although no big deal in the grand scheme of things, I find it quite amusing that Charlie Sheen was reaching out to a mere child and asking him to phone him, I wonder what for?

Quote:

“310-954-7277 Call me bro. C”

Now, call me a cynical old prune, but that just sounds a bit creepy doesn’t it?

Wonder if they both had access to the children and were looking to go for a McDonalds with the kids?

Charlie Sheen Gives Justin Bieber And 5.5 Million Twitter Followers His Number
Charlie Sheen Gives Justin Bieber And 5.5 Million Twitter Followers His Number

Charlie Sheens mobile phone crashes:

After the blunder, and with 5.5 + million people potentially gaining instant access to his own cell number while he was rumoured to be at the Michelin-starred restaurant Guy Savoy in Las Vegas, you can guess how many people tried the number for a laugh, and of course the phone went into meltdown, with 1,800 texts and many calls within minutes.

With Charlie Sheen and Justin Bieber both going through the rumour and emotional mill currently, (Sheen seems to stay on this wheel most of the time).

I wonder if a mis-guided Bieber is seeking support from an expert in extra curricular affairs and dog gone relationships?

Bieber, you are barking up the wrong tree there my friend, unless you plan on going all rock and roll when you hit puberty and sticking white powder up your nose in your teens, silly me that was what it was all about anyway!

Bieber and Sheen rock!…salt.

SIM Dumping Costs Industry Millions Per Year https://www.mobileinquirer.com/2011/sim-dumping-costs-industry-millions-per-year/ https://www.mobileinquirer.com/2011/sim-dumping-costs-industry-millions-per-year/#respond Fri, 23 Sep 2011 14:24:00 +0000 http://www.mobileinquirer.com/?p=614 SIM dumping explained

As anyone who has ever watched “the wire” will know, dumping your mobile phone and SIM costs pretty much nothing in order to replace.

But we are not talking dumping your mobile for the convenience of Baltimore drug dealers escaping the fuzz here, this is much less sinister and a whole lot stranger.

SIM Dumping the new buzzword:

SIM dumping is fairly odd in its make up, here is how it seems to work:

SIM Dumping Costs Industry Millions Per Year
SIM Dumping Costs Industry Millions Per Year

Quiet simply rival mobile virtual network operators (MVNQs) are buying up vast quantities of competitor SIM cards in order to stop the SIM getting activated and therefore earn the SIM company money.

But why do such a self inflicting injury to your bottom end?

Put simply, it appears that the micro economics of this particular part of the mobile industry (virtual network operators) means that buying and destroying your rivals’s SIM cards gives greater chance that your own will be used and more importantly earn you more money.

It appears that one CEO of a SIM company has claimed they were targeted via their distributors within weeks of setting up, the buyer wanted to buy a large order but alarm bells were sent, and the order was pulled.

New retailers are being limited in terms of how many SIM’s they can order in bulk in order to stop the practice causing a massive issue in this particular part of the mobile industry, proof of activation is also being asked for in order to increase further sales to unknown retailers.

If more news appears related to this area please let us know and I will make sure any news that comes my way will be relayed to you guys also.
